1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CodeTalky, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the service.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use CodeTalky.
2. Use of the Service
CodeTalky is a free, privacy-first real-time chat service for developers.
You are responsible for all content you post and all activity that occurs under your session.
You may not use the service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose, including but not limited to financial fraud or harassment.
CodeTalky provides no moderation of private rooms, and we are NOT responsible for the content shared therein.
3. Acceptable Use
Do not post spam, malware, phishing links, or anything malicious.
Do not harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
Do not attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
Public rooms are visible to all users — treat them like a public forum.
4. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of content you post.
You grant CodeTalky a limited license to display your messages to other users in the same room.
Because messages are stored in-memory and not persisted, there is no long-term storage of your content.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
CodeTalky is provided 'as is' without any guarantee of uptime or availability.
Under no circumstances shall CodeTalky or its maintainers be liable for any user misuse, data leaks caused by user negligence, or financial loss.
We do not monitor private conversations and expressly disclaim all liability for any illegal or inappropriate content posted by users.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access if you violate these terms.
You may stop using the service at any time by leaving chat and clearing your session.
7. Indemnity & Limitation
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CodeTalky and its maintainers from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from your use of the service or breach of these terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability, in any case, shall not exceed zero dollars ($0), as no money is exchanged for usage of the service.
8. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service at any time.
Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
